For five years now, I’ve been writing about taboos, moral panics and Minnesota. My aim in developing this blog has been to reach academics, lawyers, media technologists, and unwoke Minnesotans and serve as a conduit.
Each has a part to play saving the world from the woke_mind_virus.

Elon Musk called the virus an existential threat to the West. The virus wraps cruelty in a cloak of compassion. If you’re reading this, you’ve seen it in action, we call it Minnesota Nice.
It seems to have come from Germany over a hundred years ago and created the English variant infecting the Anglosphere. Self replication is its primary goal and this will likely become endemic across free societies.

A number of years ago, I started noticing a number of college professors and intellectuals testing it and triggering responses.
They thought they were seeing the result of a new adulterated, hybrid version of Women’s and Ethnic Studies.
When I first heard of James Lindsay, Peter Bogossian, Helen Pluckrose and the Grievance Studies Affair, I thought it was funny but I wasn’t sure it was a joke. These all sounded like plausible next steps for Minnesota.
They were seeing something I’d been watching and testing for years.
This article is about some of the people I’ve read and followed who’ve helped me better understand it.
10 years ago or so, Jonathan Haight spoke at TED on the Moral Roots of conservatives and liberals. He spoke about how difficult it is for some people to see the other side. One side had a more difficult time than the other.
Carriers of the mind virus completely misunderstand human motivation. They are neophilic and view any one who disagrees with today’s hysterical solutions as a germ.
Jordan Peterson was probably the first person parsing out what was happening. He identified it as ideological possession and caused a minor George Floyd type event at the University of Toronto by challenging a group’s core beliefs.
I had seen a similar event in St. Paul Public Schools when Special Ed teacher Theo Olsen, tired of Pacific Education Groups, Critical Race Theory indoctrination publicly asked for evidence of the much vaunted “School to Prison Pipeline”, hysteria ensued.
He lost his job and his reputation.
In an 2018 interview with Greg Lukianoff and Jonathan Haight, Peterson specifically points out Kate Millett (Marxist Feminism) and Kimberle’ Williams Crenshaw (Intersectionality) as areas of interest.
Millett was from a very wealthy, very politically connected family in St. Paul’s Summit Ave. neighborhood. She prided herself in being a super spreader.
Her 2017 funeral consisted of a dozen of the wealthiest most privileged women in history eulogizing the woman who revealed their oppression. Eerily, you do not see one tear.
I’ve never seen anything else like it.
Carriers signal a dogmatic faith deeper and fact resistant than anything I’ve ever seen. Under some conditions humor can cut through it. Many of them hate humor.
2015 – 2018 I was able to identify the woke_mind_virus in several viral videos and local protests.
Like me, Claire Lehmann, founder of Quillette saw something significant in the James Damore Google Hysteria. Christina Hoff Summers, Douglas Murray, Ben Shapiro, Joe Rogan, Stephen Pinker, Michael Shermer, Debra W. Soh, got to see the cancellations.
Recently Sam Harris has been speaking on the hysteria of the fantastical, magic of certain sacred words. Not just crass, not just rude but magical and blasphemous.
Locally, in Minnesota, I’ve seen people publicly and privately call for the death of Ayaan Hirsi Ali for apostasy for criticizing Islam. She’s said “Islam is part religion, and part a political-military doctrine, the part that is a political doctrine contains a world view, a system of laws and a moral code that is totally incompatible with our constitution, our laws, and our way of life.”
I’m going to repeat that because it bears repeating “locally, in Minnesota, I’ve seen people publicly and privately call for the death of Ayaan Hirsi Ali for apostasy for criticizing Islam”.
Carriers see Islam as the same as Christianity except Christians are oppressors thereby making Islam only good.
Carriers have an unshakeable belief in the moral superiority of their logically incoherent beliefs. (Religion of Peace, Some Black Lives Matter, etc)
The dumber the idea, the better it wears like a Party uniform.
I’ve long suspected the woke_mind_virus was some kind of evolved biologic exploit and it’s the same one we saw in Germany and the former Soviet Union.
It shouldn’t be too surprising the people most influential on my writings have turned out to be Jewish biologists who called bullshit.
Brett Weinstein refused to leave Evergreen College’s campus, causing a hysteria similar to the first Jordan Peterson viral video and the Red Pill Movie Hysteria in Australia, the hysteria that began my writing.
These all shared a remarkable similarity to what I’d seen with Theo Olsen in 2015 in St. Paul Public Schools and the 4th Precinct Takeover, which was the 2015, the precursor to George Floyd.
Dr. Gad Saad another prominent evolutionary psychologist whose book Parasitic Mind is a near perfect description of Minnesota Nice. It is highly recommended.
Two people that I believe do not get enough credit for being significant contributing members to the Intellectual Dark Web are Dr. Janice Fiamengo, former Professor of English at the University of Ottawa and Peter Wright writing in a mancave in Australia.
Both write about the history of gynocentrism and the false history of Marxist Feminism.
