The New Puritans and the Rise of the New Puritans
I’ve long surmised that the woke_mind_virus and QAnon are variants of the same paranoid mindhive generating social disease. I’ve compiled some evidence that is open for critique.
It appears that two new books with similar titles have emerged, both with remarkably similar perspectives, and both heavily reference global impact events from my native Minnesota.
“The Rise of the New Puritans” connects a social and political historical continuity from England where “Puritan” was originally a slur that was adopted by the Puritans themselves to the Modern Day Woke.
Andrew Doyle’s book entitled the “New Puritans” is focused mostly on the philosophical similarities, mass formation, and hysteria common to both wokeness and QAnon.
Each book lays out similarities including connecting them to the American Women’s Suffrage Movement, Prohibition (Volstead Act), and Marxist Feminism. There is certainly Puritanical-Continuity connecting these movements to Minnesota.
One could also argue that Dr. Fr. Paul Marx’s modern Pro-Life Movement, also from Minnesota shares this Puritanical impulse and underlying philosophy.
The most important shared attribute all of these have is the totalizing moral certainty of the believers. I’ve observed The Woke for years in Minnesota and tried to understand the MN Nice pseudo-reality that the Woke Puritans live in.
It’s been interesting as it’s perverse, pervasive, and dangerous. The belief system makes believers very susceptible to propaganda, mass formation, and hysteria.
At the heart of it is the moral certainty which motivates self-righteous pathological action.
Both books heavily reference the Salem Witch Trials, and to one degree or another, explain this group’s susceptibility to mass hysteria.
The Origins and Psychology of Totalitarianism – Mass Formation
Another 2022 book, “The Psychology of Totalitarianism” by Mattias Desmet, is a great modern day bookend to Hannah Arendt’s 1951 classic, “The Origins of Totalitarianism.”
Desmet says of Mass Formation:
“The insidious psychological process of mass formation only a thorough analysis of this process enables us to understand the shocking behaviors of a totalit-terrorized population, including a an exaggerated willingness of individuals to sacrifice their own personal interests out of solidarity with The collective, aka ‘The Masses’.
A profound intolerance of dissident voices and pronounced susceptibility to pseudo-scientific indoctrination and propaganda.”
Mass formation is in essence a type of group hypnosis which robs the afflicted of their ability to think critically. Populations fall prey to it unsuspectingly.
He goes on to talk about the academic fraud of the replication crisis which he claims illustrates the fantasy world the letter class was trying to shoehorn into reality and failed.
Woke Antisemitism
My lifelong interest in totalitarian ideologies began before middle school. By the time I was in High School, I’d already read and watched an enormous body of work.
I was very well aware of how identity was used to polarize populations against one another. I don’t remember being terribly shocked when I heard about what was happening in Rwanda, because out-group derogation, especially when exploiting disgust mechanisms, will override ethics, logic, compassion, and reason as outrage looks for a target.
For decades, I’ve been generally aware of the dance between Marxist movements and reactionary movements. This includes Communists in Germany and Italy catalyzing Nazis, and Nazis in Germany catalyzing Cultural Marxists throughout Academia.
While I knew the Frankfurt School, who some hold responsible for the virulent anti-white racism recently rearing its head within the Democratic Party, there wasn’t anything specifically Jewish about this anti-white racism.
That so many people in the alleged Civil Rights movement were Jewish had never dawned on me. Curiously, for all of my writings about the global impacts of Minnesota Marxist Feminism, I don’t think I mention Andrea Dworkin other than to mention the Dworkin-Mackinnon Anti-Civil Rights Pornography Bill that spread to thousands of legal jurisdictions before being deemed unconstitutional in Canada.
I meant to skim David Bernstein’s book, “Woke Antisemitism” and write a quick review. I’d pre-ordered it, and by the time it was released, Kanye threatened to go “Deathcon 3” on the Jews.
Skimming Bernstein’s book proved difficult because it was a very engrossing personal story of discovery and struggle, with a side of personal and political ethics. His first encounter with the Intersectional Marxist Hydra happened around the same time that I first heard about the Patriarchy Theory in the 90s. He, like I, discovered the totalitarian rigidity of these quasi-Marxist ideologies.
While we both viewed these as laughable in their ridiculous claims, I was probably more immediately alarmed by how rapid and pernicious these beliefs would be. Minnesota is the first place where Marxist Feminism was put into Praxis in law, and it has been a total disaster.
From the first time I ever heard a definition of Progressive policies, they sounded like the National Socialist Project to me. By the time identity overtook Progressivism’s primary grievance vector, it was obvious to me that Wokism as we know it today was eventually going to turn on Jews in a bad way.
Post George Floyd, the number of Jews and Asians concerned about Antisemitism in the Black community, and seemingly inherent into the woke ideology, is going through the roof.
Bernstein’s book is a very well written, timely reminder that perhaps the 70 year war on white men might have some negative side effects for Blacks, Jews, and Women.
Most importantly, it’s bad news for Jews because the mind hive has a malevolent war on merit, meritocracy, and success. Nothing will make Jews targets like resentment-driven identity politics.
“Woke Antisemitism” is a great read and I recommend it to anyone interested in Wokeness or the Antisemitism Industry. If anyone is interested in my thoughts on Antisemitism Industry they are here.
The Woke, like the Politically Correct and the Marxists before them, love dumb word games as much as women hate being categorized and stereotyped. They reject that they are religious, they’ll deflect and shun accusations of Antisemitism, just like they’ve deflected accusations of being Marxists, the real racists, or more recently, the real sexists.
I do not think they can deflect the name “New Puritans.” And I don’t think they can deflect the name “Salemite” because these terms are simply too accurate.
