As the first Somali Democratic Socialist in the Minnesota State Senate, I am writing to inform you of the Sunni Genocide of the Sherburne County Qarins happening in Minnesota. I’ve watched your campaign for Mayor with great interest.
Mayor Frey, who speaks mock-Somali is the city’s first Mpls mayor from Fairfax County, VA.
You could be the first actual Somali Mpls Mayor from Fairfax County, VA.
As the first office Strong Mayor Era, Mayor Frey did not defund the police, even when politely asked.
You have made it clear that you will.
It’s worth noting that St. Paul’s all-female city council also failed to vote in a “new kind of policing,” which just goes to show that Islam is right about women.
Who is definitely not right about women are the unmarried “men” who teach anger management at the Twin Cities Men Center.
Somali men falsely convicted of felony domestic violence are disproportionately court ordered to pay for this training. TCMC offers a variety of support groups, workshops, brunches, retreats, play shops, presentations and conferences. All are encouraged to join TCMC’s Gay Issues group which is a ‘magnet for NakedMN’
This training, which insists that Qarins do not exist, is vetted and approved by the Office of Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty. Moriarty is clear, in an interview, she will not punish anyone who comes to Minnesota to abort unborn Somali babies.
Coincidentally, Moriarty’s wife, Jen Westmoreland, is chair of a school board in Hopkins who was recently accused of Islamophobia by CAIR Minnesota. Westmoreland works “in partnership with LGBTQ+ youth, educators, and caregivers to enact policies that support the safety and full inclusion” of all Somali LGBTQ+ community members.
According to CAIR, Hopkins forced Muslims to make a choice to fully honor Eid al-Adha or attend graduation.
A new type of Islamophobia dubbed the Mamdani Effect is sweeping across the nation, named after fellow Muslim Democratic Socialist State Representative of Color, Zohran Mamdani, in New York.
All correct-thinking Minnesotans know drug dealers of color and terrorists of color are just right-wing myths, yet for nearly 10 years Minneapolis has been stereotyping and profiling Sunni Muslims.
In this time of rising violence against elected officials, you quoted DHS correctly, pointing out that the majority of terrorists look like State Senator John Hoffman and State Representative Melissa Hortman.
On Al Jazeera, fellow Minnesotan Ilhan Omar said, “Our country should be more fearful of white man, across our country, because they are actually causing most of the deaths within this country, so if fear was the driving force of policy, to keep people safe, Americans safe inside of this country, we should be profiling monitoring and creating policies to fight the radicalization of white men.”
I agree with her.
Additionally, It’s worth noting college campuses adjoining the Little Mogadishu area of Minneapolis were completely untouched during the 2020 civil unrest. However, the areas considered majority “white” areas were reportedly burned by “out-of-state white supremacist terrorists.”
Your campaign promise to Trump-proof Minneapolis and diversify the workforce in light of the US Department of Justice anti-discrimination investigation into Minnesota sends a powerful message to the Trump Administration about who is really in charge in Minneapolis.
I believe you will work as hard to address the Sunni Genocide of Sherburne County Qarins in Minneapolis as you have in greater Minnesota.
